Firm Overview

Our firm continues to focus our practice on litigating personal injury, insurance and commercial matters. The firm's practice is concentrated in the litigation of property and casualty claims. On the casualty side, the firm has represented litigants, provided coverage opinions or instituted declaratory judgment actions in cases ranging from product (including medical) liability, errors and omissions (attorneys, accountants, architects, insurance and reinsurance agents and brokers, podiatrists and dentists), medical malpractice, construction site, premises, security, auto, public rail and bus transportation.

On the property side, the firm has represented litigants, brought subrogation claims and provided coverage opinions or instituted declaratory judgment actions in a broad range of claims - property and water damage losses, business interruption, fine arts, jewelers block, B&M, fidelity and inland marine claims.

Our practice related to construction site injuries continues to grow. We represent insurers defending against claims of injuries on their insured's construction sites. In addition, the firm has represented litigants on life, accident, health and disability claims.

Smith & Laquercia's lawyers litigate in state and federal trial and appellate courts. In addition, its lawyers have been retained in arbitrated disputes and as supervising counsel in excess and reinsurance matters on behalf of both domestic and foreign markets.
