Thomas Michael Laquercia

Thomas Michael Laquercia is a recognized trial and appellate attorney whose experience includes rail, bus, automobile, products and general liability, OL&T, manufacturers and contractors liability, Labor Law cases, errors and omissions, ERISA, life insurance and accident and health.  He has tried approximately 55 jury trials to verdict.

Like Mr. Smith, Mr. Laquercia has represented excess and reinsurance carriers, and thus has developed a broad perspective of claims handling practice.  Noteworthy, is that Mr. Laquercia has lectured on bad faith claims practice.  In addition, he is the first trial attorney in New York to create and offer as evidence in chief an animated video reconstruction of a rail accident platform fall case.

Mr. Laquercia is a graduate of St. John's University School of Law, and a member of the New York and Federal Bars, New York County Lawyers' Association, the Defense Association of New York, the Federal Bar Council, The Columbian Lawyers Association, a charter member of the National Italian American Bar Association, Association of Arbitrators, Small Claims Division, Civil Court of the City of New York, The American Judges Association and he sits as a Small Claims Arbitrator in the Civil Court of the City of New York.  Mr. Laquercia has been cited for his pro bono work in the courts by the Board of Directors of the New York County Bar Association and has served as a lecturer for New York Continuing Legal Education (CLE) courses.

In community service, he is President of the Board of Directors of the Strong Place Day Care Center, Inc., a facility for disadvantaged children, which is funded by the Agency for Child Development of the City of New York.
